Recipe
I love eating this for breakfast with yogurt and apple slices. Bon app!

Ingredients
Its basically 5-6 parts dry ingredients, 1 part wet.

Change the ingredients to make it your own. Remember though, it will need fat (eg: oil) and sweetness (eg: honey). In a bowl:
1 cup crushed pecan
3 cups jumbo oats
2 cups rice crispies
1/2 cup flax and/or chia seeds for extra crunch (optional)
1/3 cup canola oil
2/3 cup maple syrup
2-3 tsp honey
A good measure of vanilla extract

Method
Stir, then lay flat - 1 cm or so thick - on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Sprinkle a few pinches of salt.
Oven preheated at 180C, but not the tray.

It should take about 20mins but you need to keep a close eye, mixing the whole thing up every 5-6 mins. You’ll want them very golden, even a bit dark. for extra crisp.
Once cool, add a cup of raisins. Store in a closed container, away from sunlight.
